Highly, highly predictable。 I found it rather amazing that one small beach town produced lawyers, educators, etc, as well as a pro football player, acclaimed artist, and a world famous rock star。 Everyone was either extremely successful or wildly so。It was a modern fairy tale, and yes, they all lived happier ever after, with a couple dangling character lines that can be written into more books and make this into a series。
Patricia Ciesla,
Well, it is hard to say。 It was hard to get into。 The story line was real cute but the writing was so predictable。 It never held my interest until I read half the book。 。
Shelly Boltz-Zito,
Loved it!!This is a great book! It pulls at heartstrings, it packs a wallop that gets you in the gut and has one surprise after another。 I tradition one sitting。 You will love this book!!!

TremendousThis is one of the best books I have ever read。 The characters grabbed me right away and became part of my life immediately。 It seemed like they should be my friends from the very beginning and I was so Very disappointing when the book ended, I wanted to continue along in their life to see where life took them。 Looking forward to book number two
Lynn Urrutia,
Loved itI love family books about relationships and also books near the sea。 This has both, and I really enjoyed having main characters closer to my age 60’s, too!

Great Character-Driven StoryI LOVED this book。 I enjoyed the characters and their individual storylines。 It was a good change of pace from the mysteries I've been reading。 It begins with three women spending a weekend together at their class reunion, where Maggie encounters her high school sweetheart。 I identified with her on several levels, having reconnected with my beau (now my husband) at a reunion。 It's a story of relationships with family, longtime friends, and finding your way as an adult Great Character-Driven StoryI LOVED this book。 I enjoyed the characters and their individual storylines。 It was a good change of pace from the mysteries I've been reading。 It begins with three women spending a weekend together at their class reunion, where Maggie encounters her high school sweetheart。 I identified with her on several levels, having reconnected with my beau (now my husband) at a reunion。 It's a story of relationships with family, longtime friends, and finding your way as an adult in your 50s, when you've had your share of loss and heartache。 All relationships are complicated and unique, but they can also be beautiful and restorative。 I look forward to reading more from this author。 。。。more

Worth the readI enjoyed it。 Not too sappy or unrealistic。 Lots of redemption at the end, which I really appreciate。 Worth the read
Bonnie Craft,
Great book I love this book。 The characters were interesting and well developed。 The main character was my age which made a lot of the events very relatable。
Donna,
Great Summer ReadI always enjoy a book with complicated characters。 The story unravels slowly but satisfying。 This makes me want to go to a place like Wyndham Beach, if there are any left。
Dorothy Reiter,
Absolutely wonderful!I absolutely loved this book! It was so true to life & teaches us all to never give up on second chances。 Thank you so very much Mariah for writing such a spectacular, heartwarming, tear jerking, feel good story。

Remarkable storyI'm so glad I got a chance to read this story。 It was such a good story。 I couldn't put it down。 She built up the characters so well for this introductory story and for more to come。 I love the friendship that Maggie, Emma and Liddy had。 I also like the two other storylines of Natalie and Grace。 I loved Maggie's character。 She was strong, caring, loving and forgiving。 She held such a deep secret from everyone and it had such a reaction from her family and friends。 She handled it Remarkable storyI'm so glad I got a chance to read this story。 It was such a good story。 I couldn't put it down。 She built up the characters so well for this introductory story and for more to come。 I love the friendship that Maggie, Emma and Liddy had。 I also like the two other storylines of Natalie and Grace。 I loved Maggie's character。 She was strong, caring, loving and forgiving。 She held such a deep secret from everyone and it had such a reaction from her family and friends。 She handled it well。 The author has created a great foundation for all these women to have their own stories。 they are all at a crossroads in their lives and I see good things to come。 。。。more

Heartwarming and EmotionalThis heartwarming book explores the relationships that are so essential in women’s lives - wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend。 This is an excellent story of navigating life - there may be disappointments, extreme hurt, loss, poor decisions, and mistakes along the way, but that support group of the important women helps each one of the characters move on to joy and second chances。 This emotional tale made me laugh and cry - I’ll be anxiously awaiting the continuation Heartwarming and EmotionalThis heartwarming book explores the relationships that are so essential in women’s lives - wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend。 This is an excellent story of navigating life - there may be disappointments, extreme hurt, loss, poor decisions, and mistakes along the way, but that support group of the important women helps each one of the characters move on to joy and second chances。 This emotional tale made me laugh and cry - I’ll be anxiously awaiting the continuation of the story in book 2。 Mariah Stewart’s women’s fiction is among the best I’ve read, and this book continues that trend。 。。。more

I really liked this one! I loved the relationship between mother and her daughters and the setting of the beach town!!Definitely a good summer read。
Sandra,
Lovely beach readAfter reading three historical novels, I was ready for a change of pace。 The characters in this book were well developed。 The end is fairly predictable, but the book keeps your interest from page 1。 It’s the story of life altering changes and how they’re dealt with。
Gea,
If you like series, or books about older (60 ish) women, or second chances, or enduring friendships you'll enjoy this first book in t)he Wyndham Beach series。 Set in the beautiful small town of Wyndham Beach, Maggie and her long time friends are coming to terms with the way their lives have unfolded, and all three seem to be eager to move forward after dealing with loss。 But if you are hiding a long-held secret as Maggie is, moving forward may not be quite that simple。 If you like series, or books about older (60 ish) women, or second chances, or enduring friendships you'll enjoy this first book in t)he Wyndham Beach series。 Set in the beautiful small town of Wyndham Beach, Maggie and her long time friends are coming to terms with the way their lives have unfolded, and all three seem to be eager to move forward after dealing with loss。 But if you are hiding a long-held secret as Maggie is, moving forward may not be quite that simple。 。。。more

This is a women's fiction at its best。 Three women, friends since child hood, reconnect at their fortieth high school reunion。 All three have suffered devastating losses and survived。 Two are widowed, one is divorced。 All three are financially comfortable but, for different reasons, lonely。 The central character, Maggie, has lived way from her hometown for forty years, visiting every summer while her mom was alive, but less often in recent years。 This novel covers a year in her life, while she r This is a women's fiction at its best。 Three women, friends since child hood, reconnect at their fortieth high school reunion。 All three have suffered devastating losses and survived。 Two are widowed, one is divorced。 All three are financially comfortable but, for different reasons, lonely。 The central character, Maggie, has lived way from her hometown for forty years, visiting every summer while her mom was alive, but less often in recent years。 This novel covers a year in her life, while she reconnects with her high school friends, helps one if her daughters through a devastating emotional trauma, and faces her own past。 Meanwhile, her friend Emma, mother of an international rock star, opens an art center and meets a new man and Liddy mourns the loss of her daughter and begins a new career as a bookstore owner。 A couple of the men here are too good to be true, and at least one is almost too ghastly, but the women, both the moms of the central story and the daughters of the next generation, are wonderful characters with rich emotional lives。 I was engrossed for three evenings。 。。。more

Shoshanah,
Mariah Stewart has been my go-to for romance novels for a while now。 They’re the perfect comfort beach read for me, I know exactly what to expect with them。 And yet, this one surprised me, in the best way。It still has so much what I love about her books, especially the quaint little beach town full of traditions。 Yes, there is still a love story within, but it isn’t the central focus。 Instead it’s much more focused on friendships and Maggie’s relationships with her two grown daughters。I’ve belie Mariah Stewart has been my go-to for romance novels for a while now。 They’re the perfect comfort beach read for me, I know exactly what to expect with them。 And yet, this one surprised me, in the best way。It still has so much what I love about her books, especially the quaint little beach town full of traditions。 Yes, there is still a love story within, but it isn’t the central focus。 Instead it’s much more focused on friendships and Maggie’s relationships with her two grown daughters。I’ve believe this is the first book I’ve read where the pandemic is mentioned。 Not in detail, but more in passing, as in “remember when。。。”。 It gave me a bit of a double take。 But it’s nice being able to see that not that far from now we’ll hopefully return to what used to be normal life。This is the first in a new series from Stewart and I’m excited to see where she takes it from here。 Normally I’d guess which of the potential couples she’d follow, but given how surprised I was with this, I don’t even want to attempt a guess!4。5/5Disclosure: I was provided this book from the publisher。 All opinions expressed are my own。} 。。。more

Heart and HomeIf you love women connected stories, then this is the book for you。 I love when you have friends you've known for life and have a history together。 Then you add in the children along the way with a secret, and you get the happy ending。 This is one of the very few books I have been able to read at all during the pandemic。 And I adore that an older couple is a big part of the story, never to old to find the love of your life。 Heart and HomeIf you love women connected stories, then this is the book for you。 I love when you have friends you've known for life and have a history together。 Then you add in the children along the way with a secret, and you get the happy ending。 This is one of the very few books I have been able to read at all during the pandemic。 And I adore that an older couple is a big part of the story, never to old to find the love of your life。 。。。more

As the weather starts to warm up I’m drawn to beachy, breezy reads so when I read the description of this one, I knew immediately it would be just what I’ve been in the mood for lately。 A multigenerational storyline, an idyllic setting and a new series from one of my tried and true authors?
