Highly， highly predictable。 I found it rather amazing that one small beach town produced lawyers， educators， etc， as well as a pro football player， acclaimed artist， and a world famous rock star。 Everyone was either extremely successful or wildly so。It was a modern fairy tale， and yes， they all lived happier ever after， with a couple dangling character lines that can be written into more books and make this into a series。
